Audio of a woman moaning was played at high volume just as host Gary Lineker was seeking the opinion of fellow pundit Alan Shearer ahead of Liverpool's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.  Media Personality Betty Kyalo has issued a statement stating that she would take action against individuals using social media platforms to tarnish her name. This comes after social media circulated a video sinuating that she was involved in the production of an explicit content. TANZANIA BANS USE OF SWAHILI IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS!

 Tanzanian students will commence learning in English, the government has announced.The directive was issued by Benjamin Oganga, an officer attached to the Ministry of Education. He explained that the English lessons will commence on January 9, 2022, with English Orientations for eight weeks. This, he said, will help students have a better grip on the queen’s language. “We’ve banned the use of Swahili in all our secondary schools. We need to ensure our students understand and are able to use English in accordance with the policies of Education,” he said. The official expressed optimism the move will help students express themselves in English. Tanzanian’s syllabus is mainly in Swahili with English as an optional subject. Most subjects including Biology and Maths are taught in Swahili. Kenyan diaspora residents have either reduced or cut the amounts of money they send back home due to the high cost of remitting funds. This is according to a report released from WorldRemit, a global digital remittance company. The report reveals that most immigrants living and working in the diaspora have been forced to limit their financial support to immediate family only, a trend that is likely to continue until the cost of remitting money decreases. After analyzing research findings, the report noted that 82% of respondents agree that the cost of remitting money has increased significantly, leaving 45% to only send money to immediate family rather than to friends and distant relatives. Globally, the report highlights that one in nine people rely on money sent from loved ones who have migrated abroad for work. The study, which was conducted in October 2022 and surveyed 2,687 respondents, aimed to assess the impact of the increased cost of living on international money senders. The

THREE MORE ARRESTED IN THE GRISLY MURDER OF LGBTQ ACTIVIST CHILOBA AS DETAILS EMERGE

Police in Uasin Gishu County have arrested three more people in connection with the gruesome murder of fashion designer and LGBTQ rights activist Edwin Chiloba. Chiloba’s body was discovered stuffed in a metallic box in Kipkenyo, Eldoret, on Wednesday afternoon. According to eyewitness accounts, unknown assailants drop off the metallic box along the Kipkenyo - Katinga road before speeding off. Police on Friday said they had arrested one suspect, a freelance photographer said to be a Chiloba’s boyfriend, in connection with the murder. On Sunday, detectives said the three more suspects were a cousin to the main suspect, a friend, and a taxi driver, whom they believe aided in the disposal of the body. They added that they had also impounded the vehicle used to dispose of the fashion designer’s body.
