WAKANDA WINS BIG IN AWARDS AS PRODUCERS DISCLOSE JOURNEY TO SOUNDTRACK'S BREAKTHROUGH!


Makers of 'Wakanda Forever' the American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther have expressed gratitude since its premiere which massively spread globally with the latest win being at the 80th Golden globe awards for best supporting actress, motion pictures, Angela Basset.

The slogan 'Wakanda Forever' is used expressively on social media using either hashtags or body language to represent courage, faith, a true sense of self and patience as the winning actress highlighted during the glamorous event's acceptance speech.



Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Black Panther and the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, the film stars Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther, alongside Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Angela Bassett. In the film, the leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation in the wake of King T'Challa's death.
                                                                        


Draped in an elegant black gown at the golden globe awards, Rihanna - the global icon, designer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the top-selling digital singles artist of all time – makes her highly-anticipated return to the airwaves with “Lift Me Up,” the lead single from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack and was in attendance with his baby daddy, ASAP ROCKY at the celebrated awards.




The producers of The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, have spoken out on the innovative soundscape they took to create an immersive sonic experience that would move the audience from grief to celebration. The soundtrack producers Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Goransson, Archie Davis and Dave Jordan worked with over 40 international artistes to deliver a 19-track album. Award winning producer Ludwig Goransson, who has years' experience working with acclaimed stars including Childish Gambino, Adele recounts, "Given the story is inspired by both Nigerian and Mesoamerican cultures, sessions were recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, Mexico City, London and Los Angeles. When you listen to the soundtrack, you can close your eyes and relive the experience of the movie. That was the intention.”

The Black Panther, Wakanda Forever music that has contributed hugely to a global recognition is from and inspired by soundtrack features over 40 international artists recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, Mexico City, London and Los Angeles. Featured artists include Rihanna, Tems, Fireboy DML, OG DAYV Ft. Future, CKay Ft. PinkPantheress, E-40 and many more.

Lift Me Up - a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman written by Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler - leads the soundtrack Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Music From and Inspired By.

Ludwig also worked with Justin Timberlake as well as his work scoring films and TV series like Creed and The Mandalorian making him uniquely qualified to helm both parts of the soundscape.

In what became a massive labor of love, Göransson spent over 2500 hours recording the score and soundtrack – which involved six studios, across three continents and five countries. PRESIDENT RUTO CLEARS CATHERINE KASAVULI'S 4M HOSPITAL BILL

 President William Ruto has waived the hospital bill incurred by the late veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli, KBC anchor John Jacob has confirmed. In a tweet, Kioria expressed gratitude to the Head of State for helping offset the bill. "Great thanks to our President who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Catherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace," he wrote.  The family sought the help of well-wishers to offset an outstanding Ksh4 million bill accrued during Kasavuli's stay and treatment in the hospital. A requiem mass for the late journalist will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Friends International Church along Ngong Road in Nairobi. Kasavuli's remains will then be transported to Vihiga county where the final service will take place at her rural home at Tigoi Primary School on Saturday, January 14.
