PRESIDENT RUTO CLEARS CATHERINE KASAVULI'S 4M HOSPITAL BILL

 President William Ruto has waived the hospital bill incurred by the late veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli, KBC anchor John Jacob has confirmed. In a tweet, Kioria expressed gratitude to the Head of State for helping offset the bill. "Great thanks to our President who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Catherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace," he wrote.  The family sought the help of well-wishers to offset an outstanding Ksh4 million bill accrued during Kasavuli's stay and treatment in the hospital. A requiem mass for the late journalist will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Friends International Church along Ngong Road in Nairobi. Kasavuli's remains will then be transported to Vihiga county where the final service will take place at her rural home at Tigoi Primary School on Saturday, January 14. THREE MORE ARRESTED IN THE GRISLY MURDER OF LGBTQ ACTIVIST CHILOBA AS DETAILS EMERGE

Police in Uasin Gishu County have arrested three more people in connection with the gruesome murder of fashion designer and LGBTQ rights activist Edwin Chiloba. Chiloba’s body was discovered stuffed in a metallic box in Kipkenyo, Eldoret, on Wednesday afternoon. According to eyewitness accounts, unknown assailants drop off the metallic box along the Kipkenyo - Katinga road before speeding off. Police on Friday said they had arrested one suspect, a freelance photographer said to be a Chiloba’s boyfriend, in connection with the murder. On Sunday, detectives said the three more suspects were a cousin to the main suspect, a friend, and a taxi driver, whom they believe aided in the disposal of the body. They added that they had also impounded the vehicle used to dispose of the fashion designer’s body.
