TIME TO TAKE A BACK SEAT- DR. MAXWELL OKOTH RESIGNS AS RFH HEALTHCARE CEO

 A NEW DAWN FOR RFH HOSPITAL 



RFH Healthcare has announced the appointment of Mr. Nicholas Kamweru as the acting CEO. Mr Kamweru, takes over the task from long serving founder and CEO Dr. Maxwell Okoth who now transitions as the Group's Managing Director.

Before his appointment, Mr Kamweru was serving as the Director Human Resource at the same facility and boasts of a career spanning over two decades. Having also served in the banking industry, Mr Kamweru expressed confidence though he acknowledged the task ahead wasn't easy.

 "I'm certainly aware that I have some big shoe to fit in but I believe with teamwork, I'll be up to the task in ensuring I bring out strong values in people management in our quest to achieving our passion driven motto of changing medicine and touching hearts," he assured.

 Dr Maxwell has been recognized as a game changer in the health sector based on his contribution to the development of the facility having seen its growth from a simple one-bedroom clinic to a chain of 9 hospitals employing over 600 employees directly and several others indirectly within a decade. In a strategic move, Dr Okoth will steer the facility's positioning from a primary healthcare facility to a multi-specialty institution stating that he is still solely focussed on his mandate of improving healthcare.

PRESIDENT RUTO CLEARS CATHERINE KASAVULI'S 4M HOSPITAL BILL

 President William Ruto has waived the hospital bill incurred by the late veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli, KBC anchor John Jacob has confirmed. In a tweet, Kioria expressed gratitude to the Head of State for helping offset the bill. "Great thanks to our President who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Catherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace," he wrote.  The family sought the help of well-wishers to offset an outstanding Ksh4 million bill accrued during Kasavuli's stay and treatment in the hospital. A requiem mass for the late journalist will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Friends International Church along Ngong Road in Nairobi. Kasavuli's remains will then be transported to Vihiga county where the final service will take place at her rural home at Tigoi Primary School on Saturday, January 14.
