Mary Muthoni, HSC - Correctional Services PS ensuring improved welfare for inmates in the country.

Koko The Principal Secretary for Correctional Services Ms. Mary Muthoni Muriuki, HSC has encouraged Kenyans to visit any correctional institution in the country where they can select and purchase items made by the inmates. As part of her familiarization visits to different correctional facilities where she gets to meet prison authorities as well as mingle with the inmates, Ms Muthoni acknowledged that this would help inmates acquire new skills that will help in being self dependent and contribute to their re-intergration into the society once freed.  "I urge government agencies and even the public to visit any correctional institutions in the country and you will get the great items and merchandise created by our inmates as part of our rehabilitation program. Kentwood address celebrate second anniversary as viral Tom Mboya's signage causes a stir during event

Kentwood Address, The popular boutique hotel in Runda, off Kiambu road recently celebrated their second anniversary since it opened it's doors. The exquisite lounge threw a red carpet, bow tie themed V.I.P party that was attended by the who's is who in the business and showbiz world. The Kenya Association of Music Producers, KAMP, signs new distribution and royalty collection deal with Cape Varde

  The Kenya Association of Music producers, KAMP, has signed a reciprocal agreement with the it's collective counterpart from Cape Verde. The agreement between the two bodies will oversee the promotion and protection of the rights to its members and facilitate royalties and distribution from both countries. Speaking during the signing of the agreement, KAMP's CEO Maurice Okoth said, "This is a great step towards building a stronger music industry in Africa. It is beneficial for artists as we gear towards earning royalties from Cape Verde for our members and vice versa. Indeed, it is a move to make sure we achieve fostering fruitful collaborations between African music organisations and celebrating the universal language that is music." The collaboration will hook up producers in an exchange program that will benefit producers and artistes alike. 

Sasha Mutai, the youthful rugby union's boss, promises to bring its groove back.

                                   Sasha Mutai The newly elected Chairman of the Kenya rugby union Sasha Mutai, has promised rugby fans that he will soon bring the groove back to the game. Sasha, a former player and a rugby enthusiast, revealed his plans saying that he will restore the lost glory, fun and entertainment that was associated with the game.  "We'll work on restoring seriousness in the team and fun for the fans like back in the day when the stadium would fill to capacity. We will also be keen on monetizing and working with the government and various stakeholders to restore the fun around the game," he said upon assuming office.  

Its all systems go for 2nd love festival

Artists with a cause meet Nakuru's Deputy Governor Hon. David Kones Love Festival organizers hit the ground running this year partnering with government, artists, youth leaders, women groups and hotels to teach the importance of taking care of our environment. The festival kicked off with activities such as a capacity building workshop on vertical farming for 230 women leaders from 28 groups in Naivasha, Mental health awareness workshop for at least 130 youths and a mentorship session with Artists from Nakuru and its environs courtesy of artists with a cause under the love festival Africa brand. The Artists included H_art the band, Journalist/ artist Jayne Opondo, Kenzo Matata, P-unit’s Frasha and Gabu, Mbuzi Gang’s iphoolish, Prezzo, Kashkeed, Talent Managers Ras Jack and Steve Ogechi, Standard Group's writer Solomon Koko to name a few.
