Sandra Mbuvi, Babushka amongst winners during the Kenya Influencer Awards

Several Youthful influencers were over the weekend recognized and awarded for their impact in their respective categories they had been nominated in during the Kenya Influential Awards. The awards Gala night, held in the country's capital recognized various personalities and top influencers in Kenya who have had a significant impact in the digital world. 

The winners were recognized for their outstanding contribution in their respective niches ranging from content creation, news, media coverage, fashion and business. With this year's theme being 'shining a spotlight on the brightest stars', new names in the digital space that carried the day include content creator and tiktok's sensational dancer Babushka who was clear proof that disability is not inability after scooping the inspirational influencer while Sandra Mbuvi, daughter to flamboyant city politician Mike Sonko, walked away with the business influencer of the year days after her father rallied his followers and her fans to vote for her soon after she received the nomination.


Others included, Victoria Wendo for female dance influencer, Violinist Gibson, Lockey fashion, and Silva Kido for the news category. Congratulations to all the winners for their inspirational input.

PRESIDENT RUTO CLEARS CATHERINE KASAVULI'S 4M HOSPITAL BILL

 President William Ruto has waived the hospital bill incurred by the late veteran journalist Catherine Kasavuli, KBC anchor John Jacob has confirmed. In a tweet, Kioria expressed gratitude to the Head of State for helping offset the bill. "Great thanks to our President who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Catherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace," he wrote.  The family sought the help of well-wishers to offset an outstanding Ksh4 million bill accrued during Kasavuli's stay and treatment in the hospital. A requiem mass for the late journalist will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Friends International Church along Ngong Road in Nairobi. Kasavuli's remains will then be transported to Vihiga county where the final service will take place at her rural home at Tigoi Primary School on Saturday, January 14. In his own words, Kenyan singer, Willy Abubakar Radido, popularly known as Willy Paul narrated how alleged gunmen raided his studio.  A CCTV footage Of Unknown Gun Men In My Studio Yesterday around 9:20pm. I got  call From  Woman Who claimed To Be An Event Organiser Who Was Opening Up A  Club And That She And Her Partners Wanted Me To Perform At The Launch Of The Club. They Told Me That The Agreement Was To Be Signed In Person By Both Of Us, They Kept Asking Me To Go To Their Office But I Said No Because It Sounded Off!! So They Agreed To Come To My Office But At Night ( red flag ). Deep Down I Had A Feeling That It Was All A Trap That Was Only Meant To Take My Life. Thank God I'm Still Alive And Typing This Info. Anyway, If The dcikenya_ Doesn't Do Anything About This Then I Will Put Them Down Myselt The Hard Way!!
