The gospel industry is beaming with excitement after the announcement of the return of the long-awaited gospel awards. Speaking during the launch, its founder Geoffrey Kwatemba promised to revive the vitality in the gospel industry whose fire was dimming off. "The disappearance of awards has affected the industry negatively; there is reduced motivation, lack of positive competition, and the quality of some songs is not like it would have been before. We'll bring back what was once the measure of a gospel musician's success.The Kibali awards initiative which was launched in 2020 but crippled by the restrictive nature of the Covid 19 pandemic period, seeks to empower talent in the gospel music industry which has been defunct for years now.
